deletion requests

You can request deletion of your The Punch account and associated personal data. You can also request deletion of specific personal data without closing your account.

What to include

  1. Your account email address or username and the name of your organization.
  2. Whether you want to delete your account and associated personal data or delete specific personal data while keeping your account.
  3. For a request about specific data, a short description of the data you want deleted.

Use the subject Account and data deletion request - The Punch. Do not send passwords or sensitive identity documents with your initial request.

How your request is handled

The Punch App support reviews your request and may ask you to verify your identity. For organization-managed accounts or workforce data, we coordinate with your organization to confirm authority and any required retention.

When an account deletion request is fulfilled, account sign-in access is removed and eligible profile, contact, authentication, and associated personal data is deleted. A request to delete specific data is reviewed for the scope you identify.

We explain what will be deleted, any information that must be retained and why, and the applicable retention period or criteria. Sending a request does not automatically change or delete records.

Timecards and required workforce records

Employees cannot use this page to erase timecards, payroll records, or other organization-managed workforce records. Requests involving those records are reviewed with the organization that manages them.

Specific employment, payroll, tax, or audit records may need to be retained for legally required periods or a documented legal hold. Information needed for fraud prevention or a dispute may also be retained where justified. These exceptions apply to the records that require retention; they do not prevent deletion of other eligible personal data.

Backup copies may remain until their applicable backup cycle expires. Retention depends on the type of record and the requirement that applies; relevant exceptions are explained when your request is reviewed.
